Oracle Coherence 3.7 - NYCSIG
Craig Blitz (speaker bio) Senior Principal Product Manager (Oracle) & Brian Oliver (speaker bio) Global Solutions Architect (Oracle)
Coherence 3.7 is right around the corner, and is packed with goodies that will make it easier to work with large data sets and proxies, simplify configuration and capacity planning, and provide even faster access to data. This release will also introduce exciting new Oracle and third party integrations with Coherence. You don't want to miss this presentation when we will walk through these new features and more that will be in Oracle Coherence 3.7.
Evolution of Coherence Man
Andrew Wilson (speaker bio) Coherence Architect (at a couple of Tier-1 Banks in London)
Andrew will talk through the progression from put-get man right through to real-time-scalable-events man. It took him 4 years to make this transition and he's still learning!
Coherence in the Cloud
Aleksandar Seovic (speaker bio) Founder and Managing Director (S4HC)
Amazon Web Services cloud provides great and affordable foundation for the next generation of scalable web applications. Application servers, load balancers, and scalable storage can be provisioned in a matter of minutes and used for pennies an hour. However, AWS cloud also brings a set of new architectural challenges, such as transient file systems and dynamically assigned IP addresses.
In this session we will look at a real-world example of how Coherence can be used to address some of these challenges and show why the combination of AWS cloud and Coherence has a great synergy.
The Live Object Pattern
Brian Oliver (speaker bio) Global Solutions Architect (Oracle)
In this talk we'll introduce the concept of the "Live Object Pattern" and how Live Objects may be used to model configuration, scheduled jobs and points of integration with non-Coherence resources.
The Live Object pattern is fundamental to other pattern implementations, like the Command, Messaging and Push Replication.
